Our visa application was approved!!!

It came as a simple text message. We both happened to be working from home - Rhys in the dining room and I was in the bedroom/office - and saw the message about the same time:

“Your application is ready for collection at Spain VAC, Miami Monday to Friday between 15:00 to 16:00 hrs Only.”

We ran to the laptop to check our application status online, just to be sure:

“Resolved,” it read.

We looked at each other with wide eyes and huge smiles and knew we had just opened the next chapter on our Sabbatical in Spain.
